We have created this Teacher’s Guide as an addition to the English For Tech textbook for all English teachers who:
Want to improve their command of English and grow as professionals (the best teachers are also life-long students)
Strive to expand their expertise and increase their income potential (the number of tech professionals in need of qualified English teachers is over 1 million in Latin America alone)
Want to successfully pass a job interview to teach English at a tech company
Want to work remotely while staying connected with other teaching professionals (our Telegram community is here to provide support, mentorship, inspiration and help you stay at the forefront of industry trends)

FAQs
I don’t have experience of working with tech professionals and don’t know tech terminology. Can I still teach tech English?
Absolutely! Our company employs both practicing tech professionals and English teachers with zero tech experience. You don’t need to be a coder to bring value to your tech-savvy students.  Remember that people in technical jobs need to communicate with non-technical people (managers, customers etc.) all the time and the ability to speak on technical topics using simple and clear language is crucial for a tech professional.
As for you as a teacher, what’s more important is to keep and open mind and be able to teach business communication and soft skills (team communication, cross-cultural communication, giving feedback etc.) We share more details on this topic in our Teacher’s Guide.
I’d like to brush up on my tech English and learn more about the industry so that I can feel comfortable working with tech professionals. What can I do?
It’s awesome that you are motivated to keep improving as a teacher! We recommend taking our custom courses: English For Tech Level 2 or English For IT: Communication.
